ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Dazzire, and I’m 17 this year. I enjoy reading, going out, spending time with my friends and family, watching Rotten Mango a youtuber that shines light on criminal injustice. I also enjoy capturing moments and putting it together in a way which feels authentic to me. Ever since I was young I’ve always liked paying attention to the small details around me, be it in conversations or places.

This site is a tiny collection of thoses moments, be it through art, photography or poetry. This is how i make sense of the world around me

Where My Curiosity For Journalism Began

At nine years old, My mother brought me to KidZania, and I decided to try the journalism activity expecting simple roleplay. Instead, the moment I conducted my first interview, jotting down notes while listening intently, then watching my article get "published", something profound clicked. I discovered the power of uncovering stories and giving voice to others.

That mock newsroom experience ignited my passion for writing, photography, and art. Eight years later, I'm still chasing that electric feeling of discovery, seeking authentic voices and stories that matter.

WHY MASS COMMS?

WHY MASS COMMS? -

Because I’ve always been drawn to the power of storytelling, not just in writing, but in visuals, and way of speech. And I believe that Mass comms will give me the tools to shape narratives, challenge perspectives, and influence the way people think and feel.

Personally i feel language has the power to shape and change narratives, simply it can break someone down or build them back up. And I’ve always been fascinated by how just a few words, spoken, written, or even posted can shift someone’s entire perspective.

Mass comms would give me the platform to raise the voices that often go unheard, to challenge biases, and to shine light on the things people try to ignore. I want to use media not just to inform, but to inspire action.

Journalism, especially, is my way of fighting apathy. I want to tell the stories that matter. No matter, of injustice, of resilience, of those who quietly help others, so people can’t pretend they didn’t know. To me Awareness is the first step toward change.
